NATS Rocked the Road in Colorado

11 Runs in one inning (7th), a new best for the NATS.

Bryce Harper (.418) hit a 451 foot HR:  per Statcast, tied for 7th in distance this year, with a 109.0 mph exit velocity, 21.6 degree launch angle and a height of 68.9 feet off of a 94.3 mph pitch (Jordan Lyles).  Harper put up 3 RBI and has an OPS of 1.358.

More on Getting to 19 Hits in 9 Innings:  Daniel Murphy (.340) and Adam Eaton (2.91) also homered, with Murphy going 3-for-6 with 3 RBI.   Adam Lind (.308) was at 1st base spelling Ryan Zimmerman, and had a productive night with 2 RBI.  Jayson Werth (.283) had a 2-hit afternoon and scored 3 runs.  Matt Wieters (.266) had 2 hits, Wilmer Difo 2, Michael Taylor 1 and Gio Gonzalez 1.  There were only three “zeroes” in the hits column.

Gio Gonzalez (1.62) put 6 and 2/3 innings, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks, striking out 5.  Matt Albers (0.00) put down 4 batters, and Joe Blanton (11.00) struggled in the 9th giving up 3 runs.
