Murphy 2 RBIs on a Bat-Silent Night; Roark 8 K’s 

It felt like Monday at NATS Park, especially when compared to Sunday’s game.  The NATS had 3 runs, Daniel Murphy’s 2 RBI and Bryce Harper’s 1, on 7 hits.  Ryan Zimmerman (.419) had 2 of those seven, with 3 total bases.  The team LOB was 10, with a 2-for-12 team RISP.

SP Tanner Roark (4.04) gave up 2 HRs in the 4th inning (Jake Lamb and Chris Herrmann), for a total of 4 earned runs, and had a throwing error on a pickoff attempt in the 1st inning.  He struck out 8 on 125 pitches (77 were strikes) and faced 25 batters.  Blake Treinen (8.25) pitched the 7th and 8th innings, giving up 3 hits and 1 run; Joe Blanton (9.82) walked 2 and gave up a HR in the 9th inning.
